What is Otaku Archivist Cult?
Otaku Archivist Cult is a welcoming, friendly and inclusive Discord community for fans of Japanese media. We primarily discuss light novels, manga, anime, video games and anything else pertaining to East Asian media in a relaxed atmosphere. Join us to make new friends and discover new series to enjoy in your favourite medium as well as discuss those you already know and love.We also have regular group activities to take part in, such as a book club where we pick a manga or light novel to discuss each month.What is our goal?The team here have been in the Otaku fandom for a long time, with varying interests and experiences. What we have in common is that we’ve all been through bad experiences with other communities, ones that left us wishing for better and looking for a place to call our home. A place where we can express joy for everything we love without having to worry about them not being a popular series or from a genre often looked down upon. Where we could exist as ourselves free of judgement from those around us. And that is why we’ve made this space where anyone is welcome, where you can express and be yourself in any way you want as long as you’re not spreading negativity or harassing others.We are proud to say we support the LGBTQ+ portion of the otaku fandom and will immediately act upon any kind of harassment, discrimination or jokes in order to make sure members of this community feel safe. We also proudly support those who work in the industry who work on bringing these mediums that we love so much into English for the audience to enjoy.Offering this welcoming, inclusive and safe space is of the upmost importance to us and we hope you'll join our cosy community!
